Your Crew

Your hosts, Chris and Duff, have been chartering together in the Caribbean since 1995.

In a previous life, Duff was a successful CPA and an avid sailboat racer.  Starting with the Windmill Nationals when he was 14 and culminating with an invitation to race with Buddy Melges in Australia (other commitments prevented him from accepting).

Chris is English born and spent her childhood years on horseback.  After graduating from Homerton College, Cambridge her travels led her to the States where she raced with the maxi boats and ran a restaurant in Marblehead, MA before moving to Annapolis, MD.  Cooking became her passion which has stood her in good stead throughout her years of chartering.

Chris and Duff were married in the Tobago Cays in 1998.  They are both now actively involved with SusGren, an organisation intent on making the Grenada Bank a sustainable area incorporating fishing and development as well as the tourist industry.

Duff, a skilled woodworker, continues to improve Sudiki having recently extended the upper deck to incorporate lockers for guests snorkel gear and shoes.  Leaving no stone unturned, he redesigned the running rigging for efficient sailing while retaining the shipshape decks.

Both Chris and Duff became licensed USCG captains in 1994.  Duff has his masters license for 100 tons.  They also became Advanced Scuba Divers soon after arriving in the Grenadines.  Their love of these islands is apparent in their accumulated knowledge of the history and culture.  Last, but by no means least, is the plethora of local friends who continue to share their knowledge of ‘off the beaten track’ experiences.
